After having my own wedding in Africa, I wondered where the best other wedding destinations were in the world. So here are a few of what the tour operators say are the best and most popular places to get married:
Vegas, Las Vegas weddings have always been much sought after and the reasons are pretty obvious. there are amazing casinos, fantastic hotels and Broadway shows and L.A. and San Francisco are only a few hours away. Not only this but the night life surrounding you in this city will make for a fantastic night out on your honeymoon. The Vegas marriage is definitely for those that want to have an exciting honeymoon, and is also relatively cheap. If you want to marry in a hotel then most are able to offer a wedding package!
The Island of St Lucia. If you are looking for a wedding in the midsts of the Caribbean, try this location. If you want an all out massive wedding with everything to be sorted out for you, the St Lucia holidays package can be personalised to include; clergyman or magistrate; government fees; wedding coordinator; decorated garden or wedding site; witnesses, bridal bouquet and matching buttonhole, wedding cake and even a bottle of bubbly. This is by far the most beautiful of the Caribbean islands, but it does happen to be the most expensive place to get married second only to Antigua.
If, like me, you would like to have a wedding in Kenya, Pinewood Village is the place to go. You’ll have the Indian Ocean lapping onto the stunning white beach whilst chanting Maasai warriors escort the bride-to-be through floral archways to the wedding dais next to the Kenyan shore, a wedding held at the four-star Pinewood Village is exclusive and personal because no other weddings will be taking place on the same day. The Pinewood Wedding Package also includes a His and Hers massage, manicure and pedicure for the bride, decorated beach area including the bridal archway, a cocktail for guests and sparkling wine for bridal couple. There is also an optional reception in Peponi Beach Restaurant, sparkling wine on ice in your room, all expenses for registration, registrar and wedding certificate and even an escort by Maasai warriors are included in the price.Any of these holidays are fantastic but I would personally recommend the Kenya wedding.
