However if you order from outside Europe, the USA for example, then you can be charged customs duty on your purchase. You could find yourself in a state of surprise when you are asked to pay money to the delivery person to obtain your goods.

Beware of fake goods!

With the increase in online shopping there is much more opportunity for people who sell fake goods to con shoppers. Recently in the UK over 1200 web sites which were dealing in counterfeit branded goods were shut down. Many shoppers had already been conned by the lure of cheap designer goods before this happened. Buying from sites which are not well established online names can be a big risk. When you shop at sites such as Ebay which deal in auctions then you should take extra care as they can be full of fake and knock-off designer branded items.
