History Of Fireworks

It is safe to say that pretty much everyone uses fireworks at some point during their life. If you asked someone and they said they had never seen a firework before I would be pretty shocked and even go as far as say they are lieing. it does not matter what stage of the year is, they are around. one of the biggest questions that must be asked when it comes to this is where did they come from?
one of the very first times we actually hear a main reference is the one that came from China over 2,000 years ago when a cook seemingly invented them. the cook mixed charcoal, sulphur and saltpetre into the same pot and then it compressed in a bamboo tube, bit of a coincidence. this may sound odd but do not forget all of these things were found in the kitchen back then. if this story is actually true then he cant of been trying to cook something but more likely to be experimenting! Many people think this was the creation of gunpowder and not the firework.
One thing is for certain and that is the firecracker was invented around 1,000 years ago and was used to fend off evil spirits and ghosts that are frightened by the loud bangs made by the fireworks.
Of course here in Britain fireworks really kicked off after the execution of Guy Fawkes and the other conspirators in 1605. fireworks were used in 1606 to celebrate the foiling of the plot and an act was passed for this too. this act is not actually around today which means we are still celebrating it 150 years on for no reason. More people think about the fireworks other than anything else nowadays but you still learn about it in school.
All kinds of things are used on this night from firework wheels to portfires fireworks and general fireworks.
No matter what fireworks you use at what stage, the main thing to remember is be safe when using them!
Setting Fireworks Throughout The Year

It used to be, back in the day, that fireworks were only used on bonfire night every year and this was because it was a lot more traditional to do so back then. it would seem that although a lot of the fireworks are set off during this time they are also used all round the year but how come this happens??
Widely Available
it would seem that a really big key thing about the sales of fireworks is that they used to be limited to sale around the time of November 5th and this is not happening anymore. Although you will see that the supermarkets pick up on it around this time of year there are specialist firework stores that sell things like rocket fireworks and firework selection boxes all year round which is great! this means that people are getting fireworks for days in which they may not actually need them, do they think about other people in the neighbourhood when this happens??
The Problems
it would seem that a major problem with the fireworks that are on sale all of the time is that they can be very annoying to the people who live around the people constantly setting them off. People do not want them going off all through the year and it can cause problems not only for the people living around you but for the animals and children people may have too! if people are just setting them off when they are supposed to people can prepare for it which is great!
In the end it is up to you on whether or not you choose to buy fireworks during the course of the year, just remember the other people around you may not want you to be setting them off all of the time!

Really Good Places To See Fireworks

There are so many places out there where you can watch fairly decent firework displays and of course it is true to say that some are a lot better than others which brings me to say that here are the best ones out there and the locations.
Theme Parks
In my personal opinion and out of experience I have not seen a display better than one in a theme park and all of the best theme parks will have some form of firework display. The best one in my opinion can be found in Walt Disney World in Florida and it is over 10 minutes long and features in the park every single night of the year part from when it is replaced by the Christmas celebrations. Make Sure You Are Safe Around Fireworks

Many people feel that fireworks are only around in the later parts of the year around November time and of course around Christmas and New Year but this are not true and there are things that you need to make sure you are doing or not doing around the fireworks to ensure that everyone is safe.
The first point to make is that you should only be buying certified fireworks, the illegal ones are not only dangerous but you will be fined or worse if you are caught with them. Look for the BS 7114 as this is the standard that all British fireworks should meet. More >
